Café Gallery Ahlan
Just at the entrance to Neve Shalom – Wahat al-Salam, facing the olive tree, framed in graceful arches built of local stone and set off to advantage by the natural greenery all around, with a small fountain in the center, the Café Gallery Ahlan awaits you. Proprietors Rayek and Dyana, longtime residents of the village, both worked for more than two decades in conflict resolution and reconciliation until opening the café a few years ago.
Rayek and Dyana meticulously prepare all the food themselves, on the premises, in the style of Nazareth home cooking. A varied menu offers gem-like small portions composed of the freshest ingredients, authentically spiced, free of any artificial flavorings or preservatives, lovingly crafted and artistically served.
Diners can browse the small gallery and gift shop for traditional sweets, souvenirs and gifts. Pleasant instrumental Middle Eastern or world music plays quietly in the background. Guests linger to talk, others gather for business meetings, and there is wireless broadband internet too. Eat, drink, relax, buy a gift, feel the peaceful spirit of the place and leave refreshed and renewed.
